FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Fifth-year senior Kayla Freeman, a championship runner for Northern Arizona University s track and field and cross country teams, sat down with NAU Athletics to give her perspective on running and the preparation, emotion and effort put into each individual race. Freeman, 22, has personal records of 4:31.20 in the 1500 meter, 5:24.56 in the mile, 9:41.82 in the 3000 meter, 11:48.29 in the 3200 meter, 16:42.73 in the 5000 meter and 39:05.90 in the 10,000 meter.
